  2. Presby vs. CMC in Charlotte

Presbyterian is a very good nursing school (I graduated from the program in Dec). CMC is also very good, and would be cheaper as they offer the tuition incentive program. Presby doesn't offer that anymore as they merged with Queens. CPCC is also an ...
  3. Alternate format...NCLEX yesterday

I got 3, a friend of mine got 5, another got 8, and another got 10. We all passed.
  4. Am I going to be able to test?

I don't understand why you can't just get a new driver's license made, reflecting the same name that is on your ATT. Sounds like a lot less trouble to me.
  5. Am I going to be able to test?

I would call, but if it does pose a problem, go get a new license made.
  6. Kapplan's NCLEX in a box?

You really can't compare Kaplan to Saunders, imo. Kaplan is different than any other book in that it teaches you HOW to answer the questions. I found Saunders to be awesome for the content review, but Kaplan was invaluable in teaching me to read and ...

  10. Took NCLEX today

I've always wondered about the little details about this day, so I am going to share it with you all in case anyone is interested. I got there early, about 8:15 for my 9am appt. I walked into the testing center and it was so nice, but much smaller t...
  11. Anyone else graduating in December?

I graduated December 3rd. I am now studying like crazy, and waiting for my ATT. I swear, I think I've checked the BON site about 20 times since yesterday! :chuckle
  12. Clinicals: BSN vs ADN

I just graduated from a 2 year diploma program. We had 9 hour day clinicals 2x a week for the entire 2 years (except in fundamentals during the 1st semester -- that was just 1x a week). I feel very clinically prepared. :chuckle Maybe a diploma prog...
  13. All staff with direct patient contact will get flu shots. People with limited contact (admitting, env health) will not.
  14. Why do you like med-surg?

Ah, that explains it. Thanks, 3rdshiftguy. I am preparing for my interview now -- wish me luck. I am so nervous!
  15. Why do you like med-surg?

Thank you for that, meownsmile. I appreciate your comments. :)
