My husband is an active duty Marine and we just found out yesterday that he is leaving on Sunday. I hope you time away from your family is short. Stay safe. We are proud of you and you should be proud of yourself. Sam
  2. Stethoscope Length?

One of my nursing instructors told us that it is supposed to go down to your belly button. Mine (I have a littman also) is way longer than that but I am a bit vertically challenged so maybe that's why. I think when I am done with school and get a n...
  3. Texas Christian University

I attended TCU while my husband was stationed in Texas. I was in the regular nursing program though not the nurse anesthetist program so I'm sure I am no help at all. The school is great though and I think you are going to like it there. I wish I ...
  4. plantar fascitis

My husband has it. He is a Marine and does a lot of running. He has custom made orthotics and he buys new running shoes often. The Navy doc told him the best shoes for the condition were asics and to stay away from Nike. Sam
  5. those hallmark commercials....

Those sprint commercials are funny! My favorite is the one where the wife calls her husband and asks him to bring home a movie, something old. He brings home a monkey with a cold. It shows the monkey laying on the couch covered up with a hot wate...
  6. those hallmark commercials....

No, he isn't deployed right now though the possibility is always there. He has been deployed in the past. It's just part of the job I guess..... Sam

  9. Can anyone answer this question for me.

I had pre-cancerous cells on my cervix when I was 17. I had the LEEP procedure done. It wasn't that bad and supposedly I shouldn't have any problems when I want to have kids. The worse part was having to have all those extra pap smears every year ...
  10. I may lose my hubby

Nanna, I know what you are feeling. I am married to an active duty Marine. We have been married for 4 years and he has been away, usually out of the country, for half of that time on several different "missions." Being a military wife is a very to...
  11. NUR 155 Comtemporary Nursing 1 NUR 158 Health promotions for Families 1 All my pre-reqs are done so it's only nursing classes for me. Sam
  12. Just Curious

I started in 1998 in a ADN program in SC. Got a year done and my husband, who is in the military, got transfered to Texas. None of my credits transfered so I started over in a BSN program. I got a year done and my husband got orders back to SC. W...
  13. UT Arlington?

I don't know much about UTA but since you are in Fort Worth you are close to Texas Christian University. That is a great school and they have a great nursing program. That's the school I attended while my husband was stationed in Texas. Sadly he g...
