Should New Grad Start in Hospice?

If I were a hospice patient, I would not want a nurse with no experience managing my complicated symptoms at the end of my life. I was once a new grad RN, with 7 years of hospice experience as an LVN previously, and I felt overwhelmed as a newly mint...

Easiest and Toughest Classes In UT Arlington RN-BSN Program

No-you should take it! It's pretty easy if you can journal about your own insights. I have not keep a journal since I was 12 years old! I'm better at writing about facts over feelings. Just make sure you read the headings and include ALL the inform...
  4. Don't give up. I felt that way even after almost 3 years as an ER nurse. I did eventually leave the ER to go back to my comfort zone-hospice and palliative care, but my time in ER made me a better nurse all around. Remember, if you are a high anxiety...

Easiest and Toughest Classes In UT Arlington RN-BSN Program

I also thought the program was great-the nursing coaches always responded quickly to my questions. Admission and advisors are another story, but once you are in the program you will only be contacting them about updated your degree progress plan and...

Easiest and Toughest Classes In UT Arlington RN-BSN Program

Legacy was not a difficult class for me. I have heard that Medical term. was extremely time consuming. I did not like co-op so much, easy but a lot of journaling that is graded hard.

Easiest and Toughest Classes In UT Arlington RN-BSN Program

You will not be in a group with Nursing Research, but it is the most difficult class. It is hard to get an A in the class, from what I can tell, but I did it by taking the class alone. And Vulnerable Pop. was indeed the most time consuming, but it wa...

    Capstone UTA

I will try to remember! Research is the hardest class, content wise, I thought. On the surface it seems easy, but the "tests" they give are more difficult than they appear. You really need to read the book and view the weekly lecture hours to do we...

    Capstone UTA

You cannot enroll in Capstone until the 2nd (or 3rd) week of you last class before it. One cleared, you can pick which ever class fits your schedule, as long as it is the right one.

Could not agree with you more. I hated co-op too. The journaling was awful!

    Capstone UTA

Really? Oh gosh, I hope so! I have my plate full during Capstone. Were the papers based on some assignments, or your own project? ANY info you could give would greatly reduce my anxiety about starting this class!

UTA Co-op course versus Medical Terminology

I just finished co-op and kind of wished I had taken medical terminology. You have to be employed for at least 120 hours over the course, or you cannot take the class. I was in the process of transitioning to a new job and barely made the 120 hours...

    Nurs4325 Research UTA

This is a hard class-the first week seems easy and then.... My advice is: read the book, use every resource material they offer, pick a really good quantitative paper in the second week, because your big paper revolves around it, and listen to the o...
