we are a 25 bed facility without a ICU- we don't do OBs any longer--no surgeon close enough for emergency C-sect. We hang dope and cardiazem insulin heparin nitro to name a few. We have critical pts quite often but we also have the best doctors an...

I met my husband of 4 plus years while doing my pre-reqs. I also had 2 young boys ages 7 and 9. He was the best thing to come along. He helped with my childrens studies as I did mine. When the boys went to bed. he would sit me down in the kitchen so ...
  9. think before you speak ........

Isn't it funny how so many people think they are better than everyone else. It takes a lot of people to run a hospital and negative behavior just makes it harder on everyone.
  10. Ruby great to know there are honest people out there. At my facility it seems that the one that fills out the incident report is the one who gets in trouble and a bad eval for trying to protect and prevent.
  11. Whats to Enjoy about Nursing?

I can relate and I have only been a nurse for 4 years. I work in a small 25 bed facility where the nurses that have been there forever make it very difficult for the new ones. There are 10 RNs in all. They question all of our judgements when infact w...
