   Montgomery has a wayyyyy better program. They get to go to good hospitals for clinicals - and it's a better teacher-student ratio. It's more challenging but they turn out good nurses.

    I can't imagine sitting around at clinicals all day gossiping and getting in the way. If I'm not with my patient I practically beg to be given something to do - and I never take up chairs or counter space if I see a Nurse or Doctor needs it. Maybe so...

    I am currently in an Associate Degree Nursing program and they offer a LVN transition class in the summer. It includes tons and tons of clinical time. Would it be worth it to do the class strictly for experience before my 2nd year in the RN program?

    I just went thru the same thing in my lab - they said you can use tap water - but at my clinical site (rehab hospital) they use pre-filled syringes with sterile water for all the patients.
