  1. We call it, "Court-Compelled Medication" or just "Compelled" in Texas.
  2. Is nursing school...

It's a lot harder than I ever imagined.
  3. VENT: Moldy roommate

I would have just thrown it out...it seems crazy to have a huge fight about bread and then to complain to an outside source about it. If it was moldy and she hadn't noticed, she probably wasn't too attatched to it, anyway. It's sooo difficult living...
  4. All White Uniform Dress Code?!!

  5. RN program in community college really worth it?

I heard the lpn programs move along very quickly, as well.
  6. Was I being mean-by not handing over all my notes??????

I probably would have told her I'd "try" to get around to it and then ignored her phone calls. I think it was kind of mean for her to put you on the spot. Now, if she were the type of person who was always willing to help other people, I probably wou...
  7. How does liability work in nursing?

...just a student, but from what I've been taught #2 and #3 would be situations where a nurse could be considered at fault. I don't know about 1, but I'm guessing if it's within your scope of practice you should know something about it.
  8. inapproprate RN on staff

  10. How do I pay for nursing school?

  11. To all nursing student with loans:

I use it to stock up on things I won't be able to afford to buy when I'm working 0-8 hours a week. I've bought everything from clothes and shoes to LOTS of laundry soap and toilet paper.
  12. question about the A&P Final

Review everything and write down what you're weak in.
  13. Why choose LPN?

One of my friends, who never makes less than an A in anything, HATES school. She went through an LVN program because she couldn't stand the thought of an extra year or two of school.
  14. Sheez! She's back and venting AGAIN!!

You may have been frustrated, but what good did yelling about it in front of the unit clerk do? It sounds more like "flying off the handle" than brutal honesty, to me. (just being honest!)
  15. Question about nursing school?

It will all depend on the admission requirements for the program(s) you're hoping to get into. My program only looked at college level, science course GPA and number of courses/hours completed. Everyone who got in had at least a 3.5 GPA. There was no...
