  2. A different perspective

When the ambulance rolled up to the ER, I could see the EMTs doing chest compressions on my dad. I remembered a guy his size who had coded when I was working on the floor- that guy did not make it. I started to shake and sob loudly. The ER nurse came...

  11. do you like nurse managers you work with?

My manager is great too. in fact we just nominated him, and he won employee of the month at our facility. I feel like he is very professional and he takes action when there are problems.
  12. The worst part of nursing?

I hate it when the pain meds don't work. It it X hours from when you can give more and the doctor won't prescribe anything else (usually for a good reason).
  13. Aunt :)

At my job you start out low 20s- but you could make a lot of money with the overabundance of overtime available.
  14. Just Venting... $$ stress

I just want to say that I am sorry about your sis. If you were at my hospital I would donate time to you.:icon_hug:
  15. Crazy things patients say.....

Sometimes when I am about to leave the room I say- Is there anything else you need, I am going to go take my nap. It is the closest thing I can bring myself to say to that blah blah blah, I have the time junk. Maybe that is where all these patients ...
