    I think 1 week is too little but it's nothing like working in a hospital would I take it,probably! You can continue to interview and apply at other facilities while you're getting experience and pay. Sent from my iPhone using allnurses

    Believe me you will not be getting 3 months of orientation in LTC if you are lucky you'll get a month at the most, just make sure you double check your meds because you will be doing that for the majority of you shift, time management is big in LTC b...

    If your a new grad this is completely normal, just make sure you have all your info ready before you make that call maybe you can practice it once with a coworker.

    Take it if you like psych otherwise look for other opportunities. I myself could never do it.

    Why would she need a refresher, that's silly! And very expensive specially when she's currently working.

    That's crazy that they would use precedex for intubation, they probably have not been formerly educated with this drug. I have used it many times and we mainly use it to wean the pt off of the vent like other people have mentioned sometimes it works...

    Become a member to a nursing organization you are interested in, also attend CEU's and conferences.
