  1. Taking the NCLEX now over having an experience first

Thank you all for the encouragement. It was just a little disheartening to hear all the things they said to us when they haven't even taken nclex yet--> this I realized only when I got home. Good thing we weren't swayed into not continuing with th...
  2. Hi. When my friends and I went to school to start on the BON requirements, some of the clinical instructors discouraged us from taking the NCLEX because we are "fresh graduates" and have no experience yet. Things they said to us sounded so sarcastic ...
  3. Get your Passports ASAP

Wow, we (2006 both June and Dec) seem to be a jinxed batch.
  4. RE: RN pay in the philippines

Yes. I hope nursing salary in the Philippines will change for the better.
  5. June 2006 RN's: Retake Requirements?

Has chair Leonor Rosero spoken yet about the retake? I heard in the news tonight she's still in the US. So maybe that's why there is no "official" announcement yet.
  6. Oops, I hear people singing, "Uh oh we're in trouble.." Rep is right. The retake is a bitter pill to swallow but it is in fact the only way to go. I know June passers can do it a 2nd time. If not, then you're still RNs in the Philippines, isn't that ...
  7. RE: RN pay in the philippines

Ever heard of 2,600 per month? Sad but true.
  8. Puentevella really said those things? Laughed my ass off. Is he Nostradamus now? Hahaha! It sounded ala-Nostradamus, in the tone of doing an ancient curse. My god.
  9. Good luck. Guess it's just the world's way of humbling (this is positive!) the june 2006 passers (esp. protesters). Majority of you cannot call pro-retakes "sourgrapes" now. They were right.
  10. I hope they just retake tests 3 and 5..
  11. Hmm..yeah exactly. I mean if they'd retaken the exam a long time ago or took it again December ... for the "cloud of doubt" to disappear..
  12. If enough of the June batch thought about the end in mind from the very beginning (no US hiring, questionable integrity as professionals, discrimination from local hospitals, etc), they'd probably have chosen to retake and to retake means the issue g...
  13. Any Filipino RN who passed the June 2006 NLE?

    Gosh I hope that doesn't happen.:stone
  14. Any Filipino RN who passed the June 2006 NLE?

Yes, it would be too bad if the common stand is going to be no to retake. I think June 2006 passers are tired of the one-step-forward, two-steps-back thing. I personally think appealing to the CGFNS (as opposed to just doing what CGFNS wants) will ju...
  15. Any Filipino RN who passed the June 2006 NLE?

I remember the CGFNS saying not these exact words but something to this effect: "Maybe you can fool Filipino examiners but you cannot fool American examiners," so it was kind of expected that they will come to this decision. This will probably get re...
