   one of the problems i am seeing is burnout. not just from the workload, but from the crap we as nurses take from patients and managers. we are often left with our hands tied. damned if we do damned if we don't.

   most of our total knees will stay 2-3 nights. if they are done on a monday they should be on their way home by wednesday. this all depends on pain management and passing physical therapy.

    those bath wipes in general are a waste. too many times they have been flushed down the toilet causing major problems with the plumbing. it's just as easy to use a basin with warm water washcloths and soap.

    yes i believe it and it's gross. i also hate it when men put their urinals on their bedside tray. try as i might to educate they still do it. i hope you mention to someone how unsanitary it was of the nurses aide to do that to someone. yuck!
