  1. haha funny question my professor gave me..

I found this at a website via google: http://www.plexoft.com/SBF/R04.html Rx: (Medical) Prescription. From Latin recipe, imperative form of recipere, `to receive, take.' Developed from practice of extending tail of R and crossing it.

  4. Can someone please describe c diff poop?

  8. Nurse Not Doing Her Job

I'm not sure what you should do next but I have to disagree with NoCrumping here. She's not being a "rat", she's looking out for her patient's wellbeing and trying to ensure that they receive safe nursing care. I think I'd call the BON and ask them...

  10. Adequate orientation

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think I'll talk to the unit manager and see if I can negotiate for more time.
  11. Adequate orientation

How much orientation would you consider to be adequate? I am a new grad who has been offered a position on a a geriatric medical ward with 4 days of hospital orientation and 1 day shift and 1 night shift of ward orientation. I did my last semeste...
  12. My achin' veins

A vascular surgeon could do sclerotherapy or a mini phlebectomy (just taking out a small portion of the vein and tying off the ends, the scar is about 1cm long)

  14. Am I not cut out for nursing?

As a student who will be starting my last semester/preceptorship in January, it is very reassuring to know that I am not alone in being nervous about how well I will fair once I graduate. I think I'll have to re-read this thread once I get into it t...
