2. Nursing school not teaching IVs

   Classes don't teach you to start IV's... experience does. Get out there with your new job, find a mentor and keep trying. Your confindence level will increase each time. If you miss one, it's not the end of the world.

3. PICC placement by RN- paid per hour or per stick??

   Don't have a max out of whack lab values from coaguopathies. PICCs are the only safe central lines in that case.

   Work at an LTAC facility in Louisiana. 70 beds. 4 certified PICC nurses. Do about 2 to 10 per week using modified seldinger and ultrasound.

6. Vanco peak & trough times

   Trough within 30 minutes before the dose. Peak 60 minutes post dose. Silly that some don't do peak levels as the trough can be high but the peak low.
