Hello my Name is Shannon. I am a BSN-RN with an additional BA in Psychology with a minor in Recreation and Leisure studies. My nursing experience centers around Orthopedics and Neurology. I have a ton of energy, which is needed in this area of nursing! Its fun, and what I love about orthopedics is there is a lot of happy endings and success stories. As far as Neurology goes, it is fascinating and complex and there are success stories but there are also a lot of tragedies! You really get to experience how amazing the human neurological system really is!!You also have an obligation and an opportunity to really support family and friends as well as your patients.You get a chance to "bridge the gap" between the neurologist and the patients/family members so they have a clear understanding of the situation. I currently live in good ol wild an wonderful WV, its beautiful here! There are millions of awesome outdoor adventures to get involved in. Its really a fun place to be if your into the outdoor stuff.!I am excited to become more involved with this site and look forward to reading and learning about all of you!
