Most RN- to- BSN programs require some RN experience. Actual practice is different than school clinicals. Working as a tech doesn't get you the needed experience. Especially WGU, being online, wants to be sure you have the independent critical thi...

"Not now please, I'm trying to stabilize my patient and catch up on charting," Seriously, that would get a severe eye roll from this 30 year vet! Lighten up, or else it's just too hard!

You don't want to be labeled unfriendly...social graces are important. You don't want to be up to your elbows in XYZ and no one come to help. I take awhile in new settings to check the lay of the land. It just depends, if I'm working that night wi...

I think it's wrong to give in to BS. My favorite is when females don't want male nurses. Not talking about religious/cultural reasons, just run of the mill idiots. I will NOT change assignments once the shift has started! I also hate when my male...

So... is the BP taken @ 0200 because the nurse is late? Or the CNA didn't report the BP in a timely manner? I've worked nights forever and q4 vitals are 20-24-04...everywhere I've worked. If the doc knows the general schedule of the floor, then he ...

It's extremely frustrating. Families complain because you told them NO about something that would be detrimental to the patient. I love my current job, but my previous job was hostile and demeaning. I was a supervisor and could no longer enforce w...
"I caught..." Really? Nurses are just cruel to each other. Making speculations about another professional's actions that can affect their livelihood. And what if you're wrong?
