Before finding my present (and great job) in rehab, I worked for 4yrs. in Peds HH, took alot of verbal abuse from caregivers that seemed to have the freedom to "verbally attack" the nurse to vent their frustrations. Stood my ground, and they usually...

I have 4 kids (now 4 adult kids--my strongest cheerleaders!). 1st husband left when they were 13,11,8,2. Within 3 mo. I had enrolled in an RN--ADN program. Maxed out loans, grants, etc. Some days I knew I had sacrificed my kids for my education, b...
  3. Would have been a History Prof. Nsg. supports my hobby of reading studying history. Still like to believe that time travel is possible, although that theory is not likely possible. But if I could, would go back in time, with the abx, of course, an...

  9. Are You Happy ?

Love it when Timothy writes. The male nurses I work with are a great group, with positive attitudes. Wish more of the female nurses were more positive. Am content, more than happy with my life. Have a great husband, love my work in rehab (the job...
  10. Nurse Mobbing/bullying

The one nurse that has been the rudest to me is a member of my mother's church. When I am scheduled to work with her, I do my work, and do my best not to have to work with her. Sad testimony of her faith.
  11. Preceptor Prob.

Have been an RN for >25yrs., mainly in clinic, home health, LTC, very little hosp.exp. Went back to the hosp. for stable hrs./good benefits. Have been at my job for 3wks., and enjoy it. Except for one of my preceptors. She is so "cold", have to "...
