  1. Is that truly professional behavior?

I have nothing much to add to the thread... other than my concurrence with the proposed course of action... i agree, distancing yourself from said co-worker is a good idea and yup... it is unprofessional.
  2. new rn without working experience

Me either. It's okay though. I've already picked out a refresher program... but it starts like April of next year... so I would have to wait for a while. Oh wells. Good luck to both of us! hehe
  3. new rn without working experience

I'm in california at the moment... but have an out of state license. Have you gotten any interview offers yet? I think... in our situation... it's not impossible to get a job... but it would take a while. So I may take up that refresher course thingy...
  4. new rn without working experience

Yup. I think this would be a good idea. I'm searching for schools that offer rn refresher courses near or within my area right now. It's the only other option for me. *sigh*

  10. Appropriate reaction to rude behavior?

Thank you very much for your response... at least it gives me a bit of comfort to know I don't have to tolerate it. I'll make a note about the guest services and stuff. Hehe I'd love to have someone teach me the ropes like that doctor did... that wou...
  11. Appropriate reaction to rude behavior?

It's not that I don't do well with stress... on the contrary, I work better under pressure than in a more leisurely environment. I was only asking because I wanted to know the parameters in which I could act to effectively deal with a situation I may...
  12. Appropriate reaction to rude behavior?

Greetings my fellow nurses! I am actually not officially a nurse yet (I am sans experience aka never been employed as a nurse so.) But... I have a family member who is a nurse. She frequently tells horror stories about patients and doctors being verb...
