Will I lose skills in transfering facility type?

I've been wanting to ask this question to anybody who can offer their input. I have been out of work for personal reasons and need to go back for financial ones. It has been well over a year and I have had an opportunity to start at a LTC facility but was unable to keep it. Now they have an opening again, more suitable to what I need hours-wise. But, prior to my leave from nursing, I had been in an outpatient clinic setting where we did numerous things. Before that, it was LTCs so I had a difficult adjustment getting back into a setting where I used more skills. Now, the new LTC facility position opening is only passing meds and I'm worried about losing skills again. It is the only place hiring here or in the surrounding areas. Any advice to keep my knowledge and skills up?

if you are planning to work in LTC what difference does it make?

Of course you will lose some level of competency, but you will also be able to re-learn at a rapid pace if needed in the future.
