    Hello everyone. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I currently work at a Plastic ambulatory surgery center (preop/postop/circulator) nurse. After i graduated with my ADN I needed the money and got hired here even though this is not my dream. I worked here for 2 years in order to pay off loans. Im going back for my BSN in the fall but I feel like my job doesnt count as experience to get into medsurge. And Now i guess im not considered a new grad even though I feel as I should be since I have no medsurge/critical experience. I am not getting responses from any1 besides surgery centers! I dont want to be an OR NURSE! Any advice?

    All you can do is point out the similarities of your current job and med/surg. What can you bring to the table?
    If push comes to shove, have you ever thought of taking an OR position just to get into the hospital? You could then network and head to a floor if that is what you desire.
