I have been working on a med surg floor since November 2011. This is my first hospital job after working in home care (yuck) for a few years. Needless to say, I was very excited to get the job. I work .75 to .8 now.
I was called yesterday to schedule a phone interview for a job I applied for long ago in what would be my DREAM specialty. The "new" job is "the job" that I dreamt about when I thought about becoming a nurse. It is a .5 and I would have to start fresh at a new hospital and leave the one that spent the time to train me. I cannot decide what to do. Do I go for the dream job in hopes of picking up enough shifts to reach a .7 to .8? Do I quit the job I was so excited to get and nevermind the time and energy spent to train me?
What to do?!?!?!
