Malpractice insurance

by newrn05

Question everyone. Do you carry your own malpractice insurance. What are your reasons for carring it or not carring it. At this point I don't carry it but I have heard good reasons on both side of the coin. I am interested in hearing what you all think on the subject.

I was always told to carry your own malpractice insurance. Your employers best interests may not always be in your best interest. I was also told that some facilities have malpractice insurance that covers just the facility and not the employees.

Absolutely. If throwing you under the bus will improve the outcome for the facility you'd best be assured you will be.
