is language an issue for working as surgical nurse?

  1. i am an international nursing student. it's time for me to choose one area which i need to study more now. but i consider my english, i am not sure whether the language is a big issue for me to working as a surgical nurse. my english is alright, but not perfect at the moment. i still have two years to study, may be i can improve a lot after graduating. i can choose form medical, mental or surgical areas. honestly i don't like mental. can someone give me any suggestions that which one is more suitable for me?? thanks a lot

    There is no one easier area where language is concerned - although some areas have a special language all of thier own. Language is one of those things that only improve with use.

    Do you mean that i can choose one area which i am interested in, and then i improve my english in my further study and practice??thanks

    Nice to see you posting again. Of course, you can choose the area in which you want to specialize in. You still have two more years of schooling to go, if I remember correctly...............your English skills are improving on a daily basis, aren't they? Just pick what you like and the language skills will follow. I promise, especially since you have been working so hard at it already. You were accepted to a nursing school in another country to begin with, you should feel good just with that.

    Are you still working part-time? and how is it going?

    Nice to meet you again! Currently i am so busy, especially about my study, because it's nearly the end of this semester. my part-time is greatyou know last month, i got my first payment! it was about 1200 for one month. i was so exciting. i can earn enough money for my tuition fee. don't worry about me i will try my best! thanks your encouragement!!!
