Re: HELP PLEEZ!!!
Is this supposed to be directed toward staff or patients?
As a veteran of many academic projects & requirements, I would recommend staying as
small as possible. There's always a temptation to try to do something more 'meaningful' but .. . resist the temptation. Do the least amount needed to satisfy the requirement. You also want to stick to something that is more controllable - that's why patient-oriented stuff is really iffy. Patient populations cannot be accurately anticipated. It never fails, just when you are ready to start your smoking-cessation program, no smokers are admitted for a long time - LOL.
If you are allowed, I would focus on something that is important to the facility you are working with. Is there a new policy or procedure in place? For instance, are they having difficulty achieving compliance with a new " q shift" falls assessment? You could assess the performance gap (audit documentation), investigate root causes (staff interviews), design a time-limited intervention (weekly tracking numbers posted for 4 weeks with acknowledgement of best performance) and then evaluate outcomes (documentation audit again).
Good luck - stay sane & remember sometimes success is achieved by simply showing up.
