Any Gems for RN Returning to Med-Surg.?

I am returning to a strictly Med-Surg. floor after 10 years. Are there any gems of advice anyone would like to share? Other than run away, fast.

Ten years away from nursing, or just from med-surg?

Accept that EVERYTHING will have changed in the last ten years. (This isn't true, but it will seem that way.) The first few weeks will be incredibly frustrating because of the learning curve on new procedures and new knowledge, but you'll get past that and eventually it will just be nursing again.
