Valium

This may have been discussed before, We all know Valium cannot be diluted with N/saline, but how do you guys flush it at your hospital, we had a major debate on this yesterday?

Pharmacy said dextrose only but nobody had been doing it that way.

we've been advised by our pharmacy, not to dilute w/anything...
to administer undiluted.

I actually draw blood back into the syringe filled with the valium right at the site..never into a injection port on the IV tubing or it will precipitate
