Is the drug Halcion or its generic still available in the U.S.?

It's in my Davis book.

Triazolam is still available. Anti-anxiety right?

I'm sure all parts of the country have ads for "Sedation Dentistry". That involves the patient taking Halcion 30 minutes before their dental work is to start.

I haven't seen it prescribed where I work for over 5 years.

It is DEFINATELY available. As SixFive, mainly by dentists. Whenever I have an appt for root canal, etc. my dentist gives me a script for 4. I take 2 half hr. before I get there & someone HAS to go with you to drive you home. He tells me that I do whatever he wants & answer his questions. I get driven home, put to bed, & I wake up the next morn a happy camper cause I don't remember ever seeing him!

It is still available here in Canada and it is used frequently where I work.

Just had it 2 weeks ago for a root canal. 3 tabs 30 minutes prior to my appt. It definately relaxed me although I can still remember the whole thing. I had to use nitrus too (did I mention I hate going to the dentist )
