matching dates

by ocdmds

When I started at this facility, all the signature dates matched: AA9, R2B, VB1, VB3. This threw me for a loop…how could we really be completing the MDS, RAP process and care plan process all in one day and ON the ARD - when you all know we go home before midnight on the ARD. I have instructed my team on what the dates should be - informing them of the instructions re: dates in the RAI manual. The problem is that this has thrown everyone for such a loop that no one knows what dates to put on the care plan, their progress notes and my fellow MDS nurse doesn’t know when to sign the R2B. They are acting like I am crazy for suggesting that all these dates shouldn’t match. They have done it this way “forever” Any advice?

How about you indicate the exact dates in your notification? See sample attached.
