I don't know how to get my foot into RNAC job.I have 8 years LTC experiences. Currently I am taking medical bill class at local university. Can anyone give me idea? Thanks.

In my facility a young nurse just finished school, she starts job as RNAC because she related to special person in the building.

A number of nurses want to this RNAC job, Two RN with BSN have been worked for years at this Long-Term Care Skilled Nursing Facility, but noone can't get it.

I guess my first question is why do you want the job? Administration needs to keep a close relationship with the MDS people because it is closely tied with re-imbursement. If the administrator does not know you well, or consider you to have the skills needed, you won't be considered. Adminstrators really don't know or care about the care planning part of the MDS process, and most DON's really only care about the Quality Indicator part when it reflects badly on them, so........the way to ge the job is to show inside knowledge of re-imbursement, and have good relationships with admissions and the business office as well as the administrator.

Hope that helps.

OP- I am just guessng that English is not your first language. You post was not the easiest to understand, and good oral and written communication is a MUST HAVE for MDS/Care plans. Perhaps some tutoring on written English would help. NOT being mean, just truthful, here.
