  1. I went to the interview this morning and was very pleasantly surprised. I find myself really, really wanting the job as I feel it will give me great experience and will be something I can make a career of once I become certified. If chosen for the position I will go to Jacksonville, FL. for a week of intensive training and that is fine with me! It sounds like a very interesting line of work!
  2. I got the job!!! Hallelujah!! I start November 5th and am psyched!

  3. Oh and it pays more than I thought
  4. Small update:
I started at the clinic this past Wednesday and it is far different than what I was expecting, but in a good way. When I don't have any Hyperbaric patients scheduled I will help the two other nurses see patients, dress wounds, apply casts, etc...98% of the paperwork is done electronically and seems like it will be pretty easy once I get used to it. There is a very nice, competent doctor on staff Mon-Fri. and wait times for patients is minimal.
I will go to Florida Dec. 3rd-Dec. 7th for intensive Hyperbaric Medicine training, then will become certified within the year with a raise. In addition, the company likes to promote from within.
My hours are 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri. When no patients are scheduled for afternoons we get to leave early after all documentation, cleaning and re-stocking is done.

I think I'm going to like it there.
