Hello everyone.. im wondering if anyone can tell me about NWH.. and there experiences. ALSO what the starting salary is for new grads.. is it union? Thanks so much!

I called and they told me they are accepting only internal candidates.

aha..then why would they post the job in everywhere;simply waste of time

I heard they were just hiring internally too. My friend applied to another new grad program in Boston, and was given an interview, but then told that out of all the positions they had listed, only one was available to external candidates. :banghead:

It seems like MGH just closed the new grad position.I have applied but no response as usual..

I called a few days ago and asked them what the situation was with their new grad program, but they never mentioned anything about just internal applicants. They said that they are still fishing through the applications and that there are about 10 spots though...which sucks...:cry:

yea, i also called a few weeks back and they told me that the new grad program is on Hold. I am not sure what that means but the lady did NOT seem friendly so I didnt feel the need to bother her anymore since i am sure she must receive at least 100 calls a day asking the same questions...

NWH is a great place to work but the HR dept is *HORRIBLE* so unless you know someone there to get in the backdoor for an interview, forget it!

Yes, it is a union shop. New grad programs are limited and I've heard they've been filled for this year. Attrition is at an all time low right now, b/c of economy and folks realize NWH is great place. Couple of years ago, we were relying heavily on travelers. Not anymore. Many travelers have come back to us as permanent staff now.

Good luck to all searching. I work right now as an admin here and am working on prereqs for nursing school. I'm hoping things will turn around again in a couple of years so that I might actually find a job when I graduate.

I applie to the new grad program a while ago and about 2 weeks ago received an email saying that they were evaluating to see if there were any external openings. If there were, they would pull people in for interviews and would let me know. I thought it was nice that they at least sent out an update email.

I'm pleasantly surprised as well that you even got a response. I really wish you well. As I said, I think the hospital itself is a great place to work; I'm just frustrated with HR.
