Hi, is anyone at Mount Wachusett Community College, for pre reqs and the ADN? I'd love to hear more about your experiences! :) I'm starting pre reqs in the Fall and hoping to get into the ADN program in Fall 2015.

I just got accepted into their nursing program. any feedback on their program?

Hi, I ended up taking another year before I applied and I'm currently waiting to hear if I got a spot for this Fall too! That's great you heard so quickly, hopefully I'll hear soon too. What GPA did you apply with? Have you completed all the classes except nursing ones? I've got a 3.9 and only one business elective to take. Fingers crossed! We might be classmates, did you apply for the day or evening? I applied for both, I have no preference really. Anyhoo I hope to meet you in the Fall :)

Sorry! I should have been more clear I'm an LPN already so I applied to the bridge program and it starts in March, that's probably why I heard back sooner. But I did have all As in practical nursing school and As and Bs in all pre reqs- the only class I have to retake is micro because they told me the one I completed wasn't the same. I've heard nothing but wonderful things about their program but when I just looked up their accreditation on ACEN website it says they have a warning and they will be visiting again the fall of 2016. This scares me and I want to look into it more!

I saw that warning too. I've spoken to nurses at Heywood Hospital (where many clinicals take place) and the nurses there all said the program is really well respected. I'm not sure what the warning is for, the college hasn't made it public I don't think? I'm hoping it's nothing major, as it's the only reasonably priced RN option near here as far as I know. I'll talk to a friend who is in the first year and see what they know.

Great. I'm going to the call or email then ACEN tomorrow and see if I can find anything out. I would just hate to start the program and then not be able to finish because of an accreditation issue. Talk soon when I find out more!

I also applied to fall 2016 adn program at mwcc. It is hard having to wait to see if we are accepted.

Did you ever hear anything? I am looking to apply to the bridge program and saw the warning was on there.

They said the warning wouldn't affect their students, but im actually going to LMRC now instead. Good luck to you!
