Im so freak out about the entrance exam at Greater Lowell Tech !!!

Hi y'all I'm taking the test this upcoming saturday (the 1st entrance test) at Greater Lowell and I will like some advices/opinions/essays topics of those who took it already....I'm just scared about the essay because I have no idea of the topic, if there's any choice of topic and English is my second language (I know everyone keep telling me I'm doing great but..it doesn't change that much), Please if you know anyone who's going there or went there inquire for me , please!!

P.S: How long does it take to be notify about your test results ?

I am about to go take the same test next Saturday. How was it? What was the essay question about? I have not bought anything to study and I am starting to freak out. I am in college right now and have taken some math classes recently so I hope that helps but I am so afraid I won't do well. :( Did you pass? How long do you have to wait for the results? Who knows we could be classmates next year! Hope to see ya! And hope you did well!

The test was pretty easy!!! You don't have to be freak out! English isn't my first language but I made it! Now I have to call on Monday to book my interview. I went for the test the first Saturday of november and I receive the official letter on nov 19th. The essay question was like: nurses take care of people with at-risk lifestyle choices.How will you treat a client regarding their belief/feelings @ as a professional nurse...smthg like that. I did apply for days! How about you? I def' wish you goodluck! Hope we become classmates.I drove all the way from worcester but if I'm in which I'm already half way to it, Imma find a nearer place to rent. :) take care, it doesn't deserve a single heart beat acceleration,trust me and stop freaking.

I'm thinking of going for the LPN.. then do LPN to RN program. I wonder how hard it is to get into the LPN program on Greater Lowell technical high school and if we can use financial aids. ^^

@EduardoLugo - I am guessing from just what I have seen on here that getting into the GLTHS LPN program it is going to be competitive. If I were you I'd get going on the application and test if you want to be considered for next years program. You can apply for financial aid but it does not cover your app fee, seating fee, or down payment. Other than that you can apply for aid to help cover the rest or some of the rest of your bill. Wow that's great if you live in Lowell!!! I have the allnurses app on my phone so it just popped up when someone reply to my thread...Tomorrow I will call to book it on Thursday I think, I need to get my documents ready plus a personal statement too. Which pre-nursing courses have you taking so far? Are you a CAN?

I havent taken any thing that we would take in the lpn program. i was a cna at one point but let my license expire. i studied medical asst in high school so i have some experience and knowledge hopefully i can use that to my advantage. i need to get my paperwork together as well. all depending on if i pass tomorrow :) talk to you soon

you took the test on dec 1st and you already know the results ??? Congrats !!!! I'm happy for you !!! I had to wait 2 good weeks !!!! I did my interview a couple days ago. It was cool, Im waiting for the official admission letter. Hope you are in for study groups :) Can't wait, Can't wait I guess this will be the fastest summer I will have ....Cheers wooohoooo I told you it was easy ! If english is not my first language and I found it easy how about you ?

I found it kind of easy. I also was very suprised to find out so quickly. I am calling for my interview this week and hope to see you soon! Congrats again, hope you are going in for day classes! Wish u the best of luck! I told you it was easy, it took me some time for a quick translation but i'll get along with, bilingualism is a plus in life! So i better not complain, as far as we can't give names here, i prefer to just mention that it was a nice gentleman. It took me like 30-40 mins, he explained how accelerated the program, abt the tuition payment plan and financial aid option, the free summer preparation course twice a week(will definitely do that too), the clinicals sites, he gave me the curriculum sheet with the passing grade and definitely doing my A&P,pharmacology,nutrition and microbiology to get it waived, even though it wont reduced the tuition , it will decrease the loads of courses,homeworks,quizzes and tests. Official letters are sent out on dec. 21, it will be the best Xmas gift, i've gotten so far if I'm in!!! * fingers crossed* practicing on that famoud * happy dance* already , take care dear

I wish you tons of luck, I know exactly who gave it to you. I just wanted to know if it was going to be one person or multiple people!
