This is a discussion on commuting days from Lowell to BIDMC - any suggestions? in Massachusetts Nursing, part of United States Nursing ... I am trying to figure out what is the best way to commute to Beth Israel from the Lowell/Dracut...
by cares24 Mar 1, '06I am trying to figure out what is the best way to commute to Beth Israel from the Lowell/Dracut area. I am going to be doing rotating shifts 2 weeks days/ 2 weeks nights, so I don't really think it is worth getting offsite parking when I can park in the garage when I work nights. I know I can take the commuter rail in from Lowell at like 530am and get a shuttle from North Station. But I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to make it easier. I am so excited to start working and I hate having to worry about trying to figure out my commute. Thanks.

- Mar 5, '06 by Ginger's MomI worked at the BWH the commute from Longwood Medical to North Station can be .5- 1 hour ride. The good news when you are on the commuter rail you can read and chill out. Parking off site is a hike too... the shuttles often do not come at the scheduled time. The commuter rail is your best bet, join a book club or bring your ipod and enjoy your commute.
