BHCC TEAS in March

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Published

Hello!

I'm taking the TEAS in March, and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by all of this. I have been spending the last two weeks studying, and will continue to do so until the day of the test. I'm just looking to vent and see if there is anything else I should be doing.

I've applied to the Fall evening program at BHCC, and I understand I won't hear anything until late May early June. Can someone confirm this as well.

Thanks!

Hi

Im aplying to Fall 2012 also!!! OMG im so nervous i've been preparing for a month. I've studied the teas book. I just took the practice test at the end of the book yesterday. I think I did okay, I also just bought the ATI Online practice test! Hopefully I will do it this weekend

If you are studying from the TEAS book, take the concepts that they presents and expand on those. They definitively go outside the box. Work on your timing, that killed me when I took it. I ended the exam with a few questions unanswered. Specially in the reading comprehension and the math portion. Find out if the school that you are applying for has a passing score already set up. If they don't, do be hard on yourself if you did not get the score that you wanted. They take EVERYTHING into consideration, when looking at your application. Also it depends on how everyone else scores nationally.

Good Luck!

How did you do? I just took it today! I didn't do as well as I expected 90.5 reading60 math72.5 science

I got an overall score of 70% and was accepted into Simmons, which requires that I take this exam. Keep in mind that they take into consideration the national and program percentage. Also, they look at how you have done academically, your essay, and extracurricular activities.

Reading 70

Math 70.8

Science 70

Grammar 70

Do not fret, you can take the exam twice in a year. I did not know this at the time but if you decide to take it again they will give you the same exam. At least that was my case, so look over your results and study the items that you missed.

Good luck!

Hi Everyone:

I feel as though I did not do well at all. How did you figure out your overall score? The girl that was working when I took the test was not very helpful in explaining my score to me. I was told that the averages for this year would be sent out in the next couple of weeks. Did you guys hear that too?

I have a GPA of 3.8, and I'm hoping that my low TEAS score will not outway that. I just hate waiting. Let me know if you guys hear anything. Good luck!!!

You just add the 3 scores math, reading and science and divide by 3How did you do on teas?

They don't send out averages for the TEAS, the decisions for the program will be sent in the next few weeks. I wouldn't worry to much, I've heard of some people just passing them, but got in with great grades. What were your TEAS? Give yourself some credit, that is a tricky test!!!

You should be able to look up your scores online. Did you open an account with ATI?

I did look online, and it turns out I didn't do as bad as I thought. Of course, everything about this process is hearsay, so I just have wait with the rest of the applicants to find out.

I did log onto my BHCC account, and Nursing is listed under my evaluation summary. I can only take that as a good sign, but I'm not going to get ahead of myself. I'm going to finish out my semester as strong as I can, and hopefully have a letter in my hand in May......
