Did you buy the review material from the TEAS website? I was looking at it and it looks like it'll be a lot of help. How long did the actual test take?

I start my prereq's this fall. I'm taking A&P 1 and Chem. How are those classes at Quincy? I'm so nervous to start, I'm aiming for the Fall 2013 class.

I took Chem in the Spring semester and am taking the 5-week A&P 1. I have good instructors for both classes, and they do enough for you to get a good grade if you work hard. The difficulty is in line with typical college science courses. Overall, they're really good classes.

I used the McGraw Hill prep book, but it's not that good. You should definitely use the official prep materials from the TEAS website since official guides are almost always the best.

nice! Yeah definitely going to Quincy. I was going to apply to Roxbury because that's very close to me too, but since I got into QC I won't have to. Are you still going to apply to BHCC?

Yes, I think so. Mainly because they have a daytime program that starts in Jan. That would be better for me with two preteen kids at home to keep tabs on in the afternoon/evening hours. So I'm still sort of in limbo but I was really excited when I got the letter today. It's nice to know I'll be going somewhere in January, one way or another! Congrats to you too!

Yes it's nice to know that we can get started. Congrats to you and good luck on your BHCC application! By the way, you know QC is moving right? The Enrollment office address given to us for the matriculation fee is old...just so you know.

Hey, for those of you that got in, are you planning to work a full time/40 hour per week job while attending the program?

hey aj- I don't plan on working 40 hours. Right now and probably next Spring I won't be able to work at all. But at some point I'll do at least 20 or more depending on the program's demands. I think 20-30 would be max in my situation.

btw, are you in?

Yeah, I got in. I'm really excited, but I have a full time job so that's why I wondered what other people were planning to do. I'm fine to cut back to maybe 30 hours, but I'm not sure if my boss will be! I was going to ask at orientation to see what other people have done in the past/how successful it was, etc. & then go from there. Thank you for your input!!!

Congrats! I think you'll find people working full time and doing school part time.

Are you already taking classes this semester? I'm in A&P II, Micro, and Intro to Computers (online).
