nice! Yeah definitely going to Quincy. I was going to apply to Roxbury because that's very close to me too, but since I got into QC I won't have to. Are you still going to apply to BHCC?

Yes, I think so. Mainly because they have a daytime program that starts in Jan. That would be better for me with two preteen kids at home to keep tabs on in the afternoon/evening hours. So I'm still sort of in limbo but I was really excited when I got the letter today. It's nice to know I'll be going somewhere in January, one way or another! Congrats to you too!

Yes it's nice to know that we can get started. Congrats to you and good luck on your BHCC application! By the way, you know QC is moving right? The Enrollment office address given to us for the matriculation fee is old...just so you know.

Hey, for those of you that got in, are you planning to work a full time/40 hour per week job while attending the program?

hey aj- I don't plan on working 40 hours. Right now and probably next Spring I won't be able to work at all. But at some point I'll do at least 20 or more depending on the program's demands. I think 20-30 would be max in my situation.

    btw, are you in?

Yeah, I got in. I'm really excited, but I have a full time job so that's why I wondered what other people were planning to do. I'm fine to cut back to maybe 30 hours, but I'm not sure if my boss will be! I was going to ask at orientation to see what other people have done in the past/how successful it was, etc. & then go from there. Thank you for your input!!!

Congrats! I think you'll find people working full time and doing school part time.
Are you already taking classes this semester? I'm in A&P II, Micro, and Intro to Computers (online).

Yeah, I'm taking A&P II right now & then I think all I need is micro (besides the nursing classes). I was planning to take micro next summer b/c I don't think there are any nursing classes planned for this upcoming summer... Or at least that's what the schedule says that was sent out with the acceptance letter. I'm really trying to only take one class per semester - hopefully it's do-able! I think I might have to take computers at some point. For undergrad I was able to test out of computers so I never technically took it. I need to ask someone about that. I have so many questions!! LOL

Yeah I think they squeeze in the non-nursing classes in Summer Session I, then nursing classes start with Session II, which begins early July. People like us with undergrad probably waived out of quite a few of those gen. ed. courses so there'll be a little break in the summer. I still have to take US History/Government though....definitely not looking forward to it.
