Hi, I am new to this forum and I am wondering if anyone has graduated from mcc in lowell the 2 year rn program. Also if anyone is in the middle of the program or applying for it. I am applying for 2010 evening program. I completed my prereqs already. Didn't know if anyone had any thoughts bout it. Also what is a good bsn program to follow through with. Please reply with any thoughts or comments. Thanks. Erin

My application was complete in August 09. I do work full time in a hospital setting in a clinical role. I will be taking micro in bedford next semester.

Erindel: I did call.. She said "I have a very strong chance of getting into Fall2010, but nothings final until its in the letter." As you said they can't spill the beans. I also just got offered a job at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington (were I live.) They have a certain number of seats reserved for their employees per semester. I have to call MCC to tell them I got a job there. I am not sure if you have to work there for a certain amount of time for this to be the case. I hope I just get a start date of Fall2010 and dont have to worry about it. Ahhhhhhh!

LynM- I am finishing up Mircobio at bedford right now..

Congrats erin on ur job offer! I actually just interviewed at lahey for a position. What program is that related to mcc if u work at lahey? That sounds good. I really hope u do get in 4 sept 2010. I just hope u don't have a wait like we do without knowing it. If u don't mind, what type of floor did u apply for at lahey? I applied for hematology/oncology clinic. I do know mcc is affiliated with lahey.

OMG no way!!!! That is the floor i got the job in!! 7W: Oncology. What postion did you interview for?!! and when was this?! how awesome would that be!? if we worked together. I am not 100% about the program just know if you work at lahey you can get into the program faster at MCC because lahey has a certain amount of seats in the clinicals reserved for their employees. I will let you know when I find out more. I will be very upset if I dont get in for fall2010.. ill prob call again soon ha. I need that letter now.....

I think he is a really good prof. His tests of mult choice but dont let that fool you they are hard. If you study though you will be good. I liked his labs. I would def. recommand him.

Also- Erindel .. I Have already recieved two letters from MCC saying that I have been accepted and put on the waitlist!! this next on needs to say I have a start day or ill cry.

Hi erin, the floor I interviewed on was the sophia gordon cancer center on the 4th fl. I was a patient care tech and now I am aregistered medical assistant. That would of been awesome if we did work together tho... what shift are u working? I need days. Did u say u got the letter already??! U were accepted? That's great!!! U don't know if its for 2010 tho? Did u get it today? Oh man maybe mine is coming soon then. Fingers crossed. When do u start working at lahey? Are u a cna ? Yea I would like to know more about that program b/t lahey and mcc. Hey if I get that job, maybe we could bump into eachother at lahey.....

No, I ment I have received two letters on two different occasions saying I have been accepted and put on the wait list for the next semester! So I'm really hoping this next leter gives me my start date and comes ASAP!! I got a job as a unit coordinator. They mentioned training me over the summer for a cna postion also so well see! I'm pumped to get into a hospital!! Did you interview at the lahey in burlington? Have you been on there website , I feel like I have seen a lot of cna job postings on there!

Ohhh I thought u got the offical letter with a start date!! Well maybe its on its way.. the nurse admissions person called me yesterday to say I'm all set and on the wait list. Don't know what the context of that was, but I won't relax until that silly letter arrives. I do look at laheys website a lot. They do have a lot of nursing assistants and clinic assistants, which is what I appied for. I also applied for the er tech position at lahey peabody since that is closer to where I live. The unit tech position sounds good. They can cross train u on the floor which is good. When did u get those other letters? Oh man I can't wait!

Thats awesome you are applying to Lahey, let me know how that goes. I dont even remeber when I got them.. the first was prob. around March.. when my app. was comp. and then the other was in the summer saying Jan. is full and I am on the waitlist for Fall2010..... So hopefully this one will have some better news, well seeeee. Have you have any interviews for CNA jobs? goodluck w. that also. :)

I apply for medical assistant positions cuz I am registered as one. I worked on a medsurg floor as a patient care tech which is similiar to a cna but they can do a little more than a cna. I don't actually have my cna license tho. I love working on the hospital units better than a clinic or office setting. I bet since u got that letter saying this jan class was full then u will get into next fall class. No doubt! I will let u know if and when I hear from lahey again. Let me know bout that program b/t lahey and mcc when u find out. Thanks! ;)
