Any on preparing to take the TEAS exam?

I am trying to get into the Roxbury Community College R.N Program. I already have a Bachalor of Science degree but I do not what to go into an accelerated program right now. I can't afford it and time will not allow me. I am currently sturdying to take the TEAS exam. I am also registered to take A+P11 and English Coposition 11 because the school did not take the grades i got from my undergrad. I am looking for some to study with or even any one who can give some advise on how to better prepare for the exam. where do I concentrate. I am strong in the Math, Reading and English. I need to refresh my A+P1 a little. How much of A+P is on the exam. Please advise.

Do you have the book to study from? I found that really helpful. I also took a reveiw course that my school offered before the test. It was reasonably priced( i think maybe $125 but it included the fee for the test and the book) If you havent been to school recently that would really help, and it was lke 3 hours a class, twice a week. Heres some tips my teachers gave to me that really helped. Go to the last 20 questions, make a mark where you started and just fill in any answer, that way if you dont get to them and run out of time, you have a chance at getting them right. Then if you do have time, go back and read over them really quick and take your best shot. Id also make sure you know your conversions- metric- because it will save you a lot of time if you dont have to sit and guess if you have them right. Id also know how to change Liters, Grams to milliliters and all of that. Know how to multiply and divide fractions and how to solve for x. Its been a year since i took the test, I am in school now- but I remember that those things were on the test- Any ways, i wish you the best of luck, prepare and dont second guess yourself. Be confident and study- work on time management because if you lose track or spend to much time on one question, you will really screw yourself.... GOOD LUCK!

I graduated from college nine years ago. Took the TEAS Friday, Jan.9th. The test was a breeze. I studied for two weeks using the ATI TEAS Guide and a little of the Kaplan Nursing School Entrance Exam. Kaplan was a little more difficult. Time yourself with every test you take in ATI or both books. Give yourself a minute per question. If you can complete the test in a timely matter you will do well. Time seems to pass faster during the math section. It is due to some of the questions being so wordy (is that a word). I will not know my scores until Monday or Tuesday. I took the pencil/paper exam at Kennesaw State University in GA. Good Luck to everyone!!!
