WHAT NURSING SHORTAGE?????
I feel bad for you. You seem like a bright and motivated person.
The difference is many of the "certifications" have no experience attached to them. For example to be a CCRN you have to have RN experience. I don't know what you mean when you say you are telemetry and IV certified, since most hospitals do their own in house training and don't depend on outside certifications.
There is no shortage in MA. In Boston they want RNs with BSNs. Home care seems to be hiring RNs. Is there any way you could move into a management position in the sub acute you work in. Don't give up this situation will end.
