Hi Abby...don't freak out just yet. There are a lot of things that go into the UMB application process (essay, letters of recommendation, resume/CV); you don't know what the reason is that someone else wasn't accepted this time around. It seems that UMB really looks at a lot of different factors when considering who to admit. Try not to worry too much, and if you are truly set on starting school in the fall, maybe see if there are a few other schools that you can apply to. Keep your head up until you actually receive word on your application.
Hi Toiyac...I am sorry you didn't get in. I am applying to NECP this year as well (are you doing NECP or AECP, I assumed AECP since NECP only allows fall starts?). I was accepted to NECP last year but was not accepted to either of the two nursing schools that I applied to. It was really heartbreaking to tell the Air Force that I couldn't take their NECP offer. But I am re-applying this year and hoping I will be as lucky. While UMB is my number one choice, I have also been accepted to University of Missouri, St. Louis. I hope you applied to a few schools as well if you are applying to NECP, that way you still have a chance for this year. Either way, good luck to you and I am sorry that UMB didn't work out for you this year.
