That's the major reason why I didn't apply lol. I really dont think they need to have so many history & humanities pre-reqs. But that's just me! - Jan 13, '11 by 2bmalenurse23Hi, I was also researching Morgan. I actually went to morgan and tryed to speak to a nursing advisor, they were very rude and non helpful. I also looked at the prerequs ridiculous amounts of humanities and histrory requirement, and they are not accredited by the Maryland Board of Nursing and who knows how long that could take!
- Feb 17, '11 by MissM472Hello. i contacted morgan state as well...the big guy who answers the phone - YES HE IS VERY RUDE - over the phone and in person. I was able to speak to another lady, and she informed me that because they are a new nursing program, their accredidation is contingent on the first graduating class from the nursing program. She said there 1st class will graduate in May 2011, and then they will be accredited.
- Feb 17, '11 by 2bmalenurse23I wouldn't be to sure about that, I'm not sure how the accredidation process works but I don't think its that simple. Morgan has a reputation of being an unorganized school. I have decideded on attending Coppin, the nursing recruiters were much more friendly, informative, and coppin is locally and nationally accredited.
