Relocating as a new grad LPN

U.S.A. Maryland

I am almost done with my LPN program and I am planning to relocate to Maryland. I was wondering how the availability of clinical and outpatient jobs as an lpn are out there? I would like to work in a clinic or something of that nature. I don't want to be too picky but I have two girls and my oldest will be starting kindergarten and I would like to beable to take her to school. If any one knows where I as a new lpn grad can apply that would be great. Thank you in advance for all your help and I look forward and appreciate your feedback :inlove:;)

I would suggest looking at methadone clinics then. I had the opportunity to do my internship at one and it was very interesting. Pretty repetitive work though. When I was a new LPN I didn't really consider applying at one because I needed something more flexible and the methadone clinic openings I see are usually full-time positions. Another option you might consider would be corrections. It was my (and quite a few of my friend's) first job out of school. They tend to be very new-grad friendly (for both LPNs and RNs). Honestly, I wouldn't bother applying to the nursing homes because they seem to want to hire experienced LPNs only. Good luck!!

Thank you for your input and I will look into that
