Pre-Reqs for Towson

U.S.A. Maryland

Published

Anyone know the exact pre-reqs for Towson for those with a B.S. already? I found the website to be quite vague. It mentions 4 science lab classes but does not specify classes. I figure AP I and II are a given but does it matter whether the other two are Chem. or Bio.? Also, I'm a graduate from TU with a B.S. in Psychology and a B.S. in Philosophy. Is it possible to take MicroBio without Intro to Bio and not be totally lost? Way back when, I just took the easy way out with Science and Math at TU, so my background in these areas are limited. Would I have a better chance of getting to TU since my undergrad is from here? Or should I press more for Univ. of MD? They seem to have more pre-reqs though. BTW my overall GPA was 3.057. Is that horrid?

No harm in doing the pre-reqs at CCBC right?

Thanks.

so, has anyone heard anything from towson yet? admissions told me we should hear by end of march-first week of april. just wondering if they have started sending out decisions yet. i havent heard a thing!

I called this morning and i was told dat decisions would be late march..

thanks for the update! do they have spring break next week at towson? i know umb does, so guessing we won't hear until after their spring break then. do you know how towson notifies? is it just by mail or do they call us?

I don't know when their spring break is. The school sends me email tho, I got accepted into towson university ,but I think they will call us. Two weeks ago, someone from towson called to tell me the pre-reqs i have left, so dey might call. Just make sure your phone is on every min of the day :)

Yeah I got a voice mail from them a few weeks ago as well, saying everything was complete and telling me the three classes I had to complete. So they sent you an email saying you were accepted?

The school sent me an email that i got accepted, not the nursing program. I"m sure the nursing program would call

I applied to the school and the nursing program. U have to be accepted into the school if you want to do their nursing program. If you haven't applied to the school, its not too late. You can still apply for fall 2010
