I am so excited to be graduating in December and taking my NCLEX soon thereafter for licensure in Maryland. I will be new to the area, and my husband will be working in Howard County. I am hoping to find a job either in Baltimore or Howard County, or someplace near by (Anne Arundel, Prince George's, etc).

I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for hospitals I should consider in my search, especially those with good residency/training programs?

Anne Arundel Medical Center is a beautiful hospital in Annapolis. I read that they have a new nurse orientation program in November...you might start looking on their website in late September and during October. They have great patient care there!

  5. That is a really impacted area with few jobs. I would apply to each and every job you can find to increase your chances.

  6. Thank you for the advice
  7. I agree with CarryThatWeight. Apply everywhere you can! The VA has good programs but it is hard to get into...
  8. University of Md Medical Center in Baltimore has a lot of nursing positions open. I know they have a med-surg/tele position open that is a great first job for new grad RNs (I know because that was my first job there!). And the commute at 6.30am takes about 20minutes on 95.
  9. Hi everyone, do you guys know anything about medstar st marys hospital?
