New Grad Salary for Baltimore Washington Medical Center

Hey nursing friends. Anybody know what the pay rate is for the Nurse Residency Program at Baltimore Washington Medical Center?? I have an interview there next week. Has anybody else been interviewed yet and if so how did it go? Also, does anybody work there or know anyone who works there and have any idea about nurse satisfaction? Thanks in advance.

Hey, I wish I knew how much they start at as well. When did you get a call? I applied there as well and was hoping to get an interview. :) I just took my NCLEX this week and found out I passed! Glad to have that behind me.

Awesome!! Congrats!!! I got a call last Friday afternoon and I had applied that morning. I take my NCLEX on this coming tuesday and I hope I pass. I am waiting to hear back from the HR rep to schedule the interview. We talked about having the interview after I was finished studying for NCLEX.

I just got a call for the Human Resources representative this morning of all days! I have to re-submit my resume, because he could not see it...it is so weird. I even have the emails from the hospital thanking me for applying. I know that they just had a big computer system change there. I am going in on Monday though to drop off some documents. I wish you the best on your exam on Tuesday! You can do it...prayers for you!

Yes, that was him! He was checking his computer while we were talking and he didn't see my information at all. He told me to re-submit and call him first thing on Monday. I told him I was coming by to add to my portfolio so everything worked out. I will keep you posted! Let know how everything goes for you on Tuesday. Yes, the Lord is definitely our strength! He will be with you!

Thank you. By the way, do you know much about the program?? All I know is that it is from 8am-4pm Mon-Fri for 8 weeks. Is it a guarantee that we will have a job after we complete the program? Thanks in advance. Also, what did you use to study for NCLEX? I am on my last study day wohoo!!

Yay, for one more study day!!! Well, I don't know anything about the orientation. If I get any information tomorrow, I will let you know. For my study, I used Kaplan on demand, lacharity, Saunders, and the study guide not endorsed by All nurses. My biggest helps were Kaplan and Lacharity. The study guide on this website was best for infection control study. Practicing priority questions was also a big part of my study! You got this Ellisjc0507! Please let me know how you do! Are you nervous? I was a nervous wreck this time last week!

I am somewhat disappointed because I just finished my last three chapters of Saunders and did the Comprehensive Exam at back of book and got a 65% which is horrible. I thought I'd do so much better. I have also used Kaplan and LaCharity. I have two more chapters left of PDA and need to review rationales for Qtrainer 7. I hope to do nothing tomorrow so I can relax :) THanks for being a blessing!!!

I know that it is hard to not worry about your scores...but don't worry. I came to a point last week, when I had to say to myself, "I have done everything that I can to prepare for this exam, Lord take care of the rest!" You have done what you can do! You were faithful to study....just apply what you learned and ask the Lord to guide you answers on Tuesday. :yelclap:

So true!!! I have horrible anxiety that I've been praying about. I even got some natural remedy spray to use before the exam lol. I know the Lord will be with me. I will continue to be in a prayerful spirit. Thank you!!! WHo knows, God willing we may be working together at Baltimore Washington Med CEnter soon.
