Maryland BON, Apply Online or In-Person?

  1. Hi All, I have always been a DC licensed RN but anticipate needing a MD license in late Dec or Early January. On the BON webpage, I see that I can now apply for both a temporary license and a permanent license by endorsement online. What would be better, the online application or going in-person? I live in MD and have a MD drivers license if that makes any difference. How long has it taken for other RN's to get their license switched over? Should I start the process now even before the interview? Thanks for any info!

I had to do everything in person. The good thing is that when you turn in your application and all needed paperwork they give you the temporary license on the spot. The temporary license is good for 3 months I think. It took about 2 months for my permanent license to process. Hope this helps. Good Luck!
