LPN Program CCBC, Dundalk

U.S.A. Maryland

Published

Hello everyone,

I applied for the RN program at CCBC Essex and the LPN program at CCBC Dundalk. I don't think I got accepted into the RN program :( However, I am still holding out hope that I am wait-listed. The LPN program is not ideal, but it is the back door to RN because CCBC has an LPN to RN program. Also, my thought is, I am still going to apply to the RN program for next spring (even if I do get accepted into the LPN). That way, LPN will be my safety net and I won't be as heart broken if I get a 3rd rejection.

Anyone else apply to the LPN program? I know there were a lot of applicants for the RN. I was wondering if there were as many applicants for the LPN??? We should know something by Mid-June.

Oh, one more thing, did anyone else apply to both and is accepting their spot to the RN program?

Hi...CONGRATS to u both....am new to this site...i about to apply to the sch too, but waiting to take my TEAS exam..wht score do thy accept for the TEAS...is it vry difficult getting accepted into the sch????wht was ur GPA if u don't mind??? n wht program did u get into??? am applying for the LPN-RN and the RN..Spring semester...i just hop i get accepted....plsssssss i need ur reply...Thankx thxxx much

I applied to the RN program and did not get accepted. I had about 2.8 nursing GPA (for RN) and a proficient TEAS score. My nursing GPA for the LPN program is a 3.2. I am starting the LPN program August 30th. Good luck to you! Try and get the highest TEAS score as possible. That will make all the difference. I took TEAS V twice and Proficient is the highest I could get. Advance score will give you a greater chance for acceptance.

I recommend if you already have your LPN don't apply to the RN program. Go straight for the LPN to RN. CCBC accepts your LPN license as your first year of nursing school. Feel free to ask more questions if you like. :)

Tanks so much....i will keep in touch.....

I'm new to this site but after all the reading if you don't mind can I ask your help with a choice of mines. Now I'm 30 and I'm swtiching profession to healthcare I want to get my bsn,and I got to start from scratch I just passed my g.e.d test and will be taking can classes in feb/march I'm do cna job for exp for about a year or two but I also wanna get out of bccc and go ccbc for lpn 2012.What did you have to do to get accepted in there lpn program? Is it a long waiting list? What are prereq/developental courses?thank you in advance oh congrats.

http://www.ccbcmd.edu/catalog/programs/pn_cert.html go to this link and you will find the prereqs. It is a wonderful program! I would recommend it to anyone who wants a to get there foot in the door geared towards nursing. They don't have a rolling wait list. Their wait list is only used as a backup for students who don't accept their spot. Good luck. If you have anymore questions just Private message me.
