I also am waiting to hear back from a few ABSN programs but am just concerned about student debt if I go that route? Are you waiting to hear from other community college's or 4 year universities?

I am also waiting on a few ABSN programs. I am also very very worried about the amount of debt I will accrue if I get in/go to an ABSN program. However, I know the job prospects are better with a BSN but I could always to a RN to BSN....eeek....Just not sure what I am going to do yet!! And the deposit deadline is approaching FAST!

It may be worth checking out my above post. I asked for advice from other nurses regarding which route to take. I also have several friends who actually are RN's in this area and I'm thinking that I will go the ADN route. From there, I will shoot for an online RN to MSN program. I'd be glad to share with you the advice that I have been given from current nurses, some of which are fairly recent graduates. It's a very tough decision, that's for sure!!!

Hey , I'm in the traditional program. We are actually mixed with accelerated only difference being they start and finish in the summer. But if you want me to answer any questions I would be happy to.

I graduated from HCC with my ADN took me 8 months from passing boards to find a nursing job; however, I'm happy I found one. I am currently enrolled in a RN-BSN program I think that helped me.

Did you volunteer or work as a CNA prior to finding a job? I have seen some RN-BSN programs that require you have a job before you can apply to their program. I'm so worried about finding a job with only an ADN. I definitely intend to get my BSN, it would just be better financially if I went this route.
