CNL

U.S.A. Maryland

Hi all,

so there is a thread for umson applicants for the fall of 2014, but it seems to be more BSN applicants. I'm wondering who else is in camp CNL with me. I'd love to trade notes about plans to finance a MSN, reasons you picked CNL over another option, prereqs, admissions stats...and anything else you're interested in.

I know I can't be the only one! Where my CNL hopefuls at?!

I was wondering when someone would start a thread for the fall 2014 UMSON CNL...I applied...fingers are crossed.

Ahhhh!!! I got an interview!

So I found this site regarding nursing admissions interviews. It looks good to me, so I thought I'd share it

Second semester CNL checking in to wish you both good luck!

I haven't received an email regarding an interview. I'm a bit worried!

I have not received one either. Hang in there. I am sure you will get one.

When I applied, emails went out of a few days, not all at once. I COMPLETELY understand how stressful it is hearing other people get interviews and to be left wondering. I'd give it to the end of the week, at least, before I started to worry about it.

Hi smoup! How is it going? Are you enjoying the program? Any insights you'd like to share with those of us deciding between this and other (bsn) programs?

I am enjoying the program, very much so! Each clinical day it seems that I am more and more sure that this is the right profession for me. I enjoy (most) of my classes and find the subjects to be fascinating.

I don't really have any insights. UMSON was the one and only school I applied to and the one and only school I even really considered. I chose the CNL over a BSN mostly because I didn't want another Bachelor's and I like the idea of the CNL. I can definitely see myself working in that role in the future if it catches on in more places. I also would have needed more classes to apply for other BSN programs, or even ADN programs, so I didn't see that as an option.

I'm also lucky and have a friend of the family who is like a dad to me paying for the program by using a line of credit on his house. I hope to be able to pay the loan back within 5 years of graduating and starting to work.
