    Gaining experience other than cna experience can be helpful. Can nursing student take the nclex-pn in the state of maryland? Please help!!! I realize that new grad jobs are hard to get and gaining experience before I graduate is important.

    Contact your PN board in Maryland. Some states will allow you to take the NCLEX PN if you have had a certain amount of education beyond what the PN receives.
