and bring a book, a big bottle of water and your lunch. it'll be a long, hellish day there in the waiting room!
actually, when i went to the mbon a few months ago i was in & out after 10 minutes
. i was quite shocked!! and when i passed the nclex, i had my license # the next business day (took my test friday, had license on monday morning). of course, it could have been the time of day & time of year too. i went around 4 pm. and it was in latemarch/early april..i guess that's a slow time of year. i imagine now that it will be somewhat chaotic.
anyways, you need to get your background check & fingerprints done first. you have to take the paper to provide proof that you've done it when you go to the board. there is a place inside of the mall where the bon is located where you can get this done, it costs $57.25 i think maryland board of nursing - criminal history records check for nclex, endorsement and 1st-time cna applicants
also, you have to bring the application filled out by your school. i think you can request it from the board. you will need a 2x2 passport photo to attach to the form. the application fee is $100. and then when you get there, you have to fill out a declaration of state form. here's the link that provides a little more information maryland board of nursing - nclex application instructions for a us trained rn
nd of course, fill out your application to pearson vue & pay $200. good luck & congrats!
